The renovation of a previously unoccupied building in Colorado Springs has provided a new home for Mountain States Art Conservation, an esteemed art preservation business. This comprehensive interior and exterior renovation was meticulously designed to accommodate specialty spaces essential for art conservation. The building now includes a dark room for processing photos, a conservation lab with humidity control to preserve historic artifacts, and a matting/framing room for detailed art preparation.
The expanded facility allows Mountain States Art Conservation to enhance their art studio spaces without sacrificing office space, their library, or a photo studio. This thoughtful design ensures that all aspects of their operations are seamlessly integrated, supporting their mission to create and restore historic art for museums across the country.
The reception and conference room areas have been upgraded with custom finishes, including TVs hidden in casework and modern sliding barn doors, adding a touch of sophistication and functionality. These improvements not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of the building but also provide a practical and welcoming environment for both staff and visitors.
This renovation project reflects a commitment to preserving and showcasing art in a controlled and professional setting, ensuring that Mountain States Art Conservation can continue their valuable work in restoring historic artifacts.
